One of My Go-To Breakfast Spots Near Casco: Top of the Hill Grille - Sebago Lake, Maine

A Convenient Breakfast Spot on Route 302

Top of the Hill Grille has become one of my go-to breakfast spots, mainly because of how convenient it is. Being based in Casco, it's an easy drive right down Route 302, making it a perfect option when I'm looking to get out of the house for breakfast—which, to be fair, doesn't happen all that often.

Most of the time, I'm cooking on my own flat top grill. But when I want something quick, easy, and close by, Top of the Hill Grille does the trick.

Location: Right Between Windham and Naples, Maine

Top of the Hill Grille is located right on Route 302 between Windham and Naples, Maine—literally sitting on top of a hill, so the name checks out. The building is a big blue landmark along the road, but if you're not paying attention, it's easy to drive right by.

Once you know where it is, though, it becomes one of those reliable spots you keep coming back to—especially if you're staying anywhere along the Sebago Lake region.

Open Year-Round (Which Matters in Maine)

One of the things I appreciate most is that Top of the Hill Grille is open year-round. In a seasonal area like this, that's a big plus—especially during the winter months when options can be limited.

Another standout: they're open until 2pm. That makes it a great choice for those days when breakfast turns into brunch, or when you're just not in a rush to get out early.

Classic Breakfast and Brunch Menu Options

The menu covers all the basics you'd expect from a traditional American diner—classic breakfast plates, omelets, and sandwiches. Whether you're in the mood for something simple or a more filling brunch, there's plenty to choose from.

They also have a full bar, so if you're looking to elevate things a bit, you can grab a mimosa or Bloody Mary with your meal.

What I Ordered: A Simple, Reliable Breakfast

On this visit, I went with my usual go-to: an omelet served with toast and a side of home fries. It's a simple combo, but it always delivers.

Sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for—no surprises, just a solid, satisfying breakfast.

For me, being just a short drive from Casco and right off Route 302, it's an easy choice when I decide to skip the flat top and head out for breakfast.
