It's Fishing Derby Weekend!

This weekend marks the 11th annual Sebago Lake Angler's Association togue and pike fishing derby. The fishing club has a primary focus of raising money to provide lifetime fishing licenses to area youth.

• Two day event: SEPTEMBER 12, 2026 6:00 AM - SEPTEMBER 13, 2026 2:00 PM

Last year the club gave out more than 21 lifetime fishing licenses to youth from ages 1 to 15. In addition to the youth license program, the club sponsors a free veteran's fishing event each spring where club members take veterans out for a day of fishing on Sebago lake and then provides a lakeside cookout.

This year's event will be headquartered at the Point Sebago resort dock. The following prizes and categories will have anglers scouring the lake for their trophy:

Lake Trout (Togue) Category:

• Largest Togue: $1000

• 2nd Largest Togue: $750

• 3rd Largest Togue: $500

• Largest Togue weighed on Saturday: $100

• Smallest Togue: $100

Each togue brought in and registered will get the angler a ticket to be drawn for 3, $100 prizes.

Pike Category:

• 1st Most Pike: $1000

• 2nd Most Pike: $750

• 3rd Most Pike $500

Pike anglers can only win in one pike category.
