Gary's Olde Towne Tavern and Songo River Queen Announce Plans for "Club 316," a Floating Entertainment Destination on Sebago Lake
Naples, Maine — April 1, 2026 — Gary's Olde Towne Tavern, in conjunction with the Songo River Queen, today announced plans for Club 316, a proposed floating bar and entertainment destination to be located at the deepest point of Sebago Lake.

Positioned above 316 feet of water, Club 316 is designed to introduce a new kind of lake experience, blending the energy of the Naples Causeway with the open-water setting of Sebago Lake.
A New Kind of Lake Experience
The proposed development will feature a multi-platform floating venue with:
Multiple swim-up bars
Live DJ performances throughout the summer
Central gathering areas designed for social events and lakegoers

During peak summer weekends, the surrounding area is expected to draw significant activity from boaters and visitors across the lake.
Accessible by Water
Transportation to Club 316 will be a core part of the experience.
Shuttle service is expected to run:
From Naples via the Songo River Queen
From Frye Island via the Frye Island Ferry

These routes are intended to provide consistent access for visitors traveling from multiple points around the lake.
Premium Experience
As part of the experience, Sebago Lake Lovin will introduce a connected, members-only clubhouse designed to offer a more premium, elevated environment. This private space will feature enhanced amenities and exclusive access, complete with an optional helipad offering direct service to and from Portland International Jetport.
Economic Impact
Local officials and business leaders expect the project to deliver a meaningful boost to the Sebago Lakes Region economy, particularly in hospitality, tourism, and short-term rentals.
"We expect Club 316 to really boost demand for rentals across the lake," said Eric Rowles of Jordan Rentals.
Local Leadership Weighs In
"It's definitely something different for Sebago… I think people are gonna love it," said Ryan Carvalho, owner of the Songo River Queen.
Timeline
Gary Skellett, owner of Gary's Olde Towne Tavern, expects the grand opening of Club 316 to take place in May, targeting Memorial Day Weekend 2026.
"Memorial Day Weekend felt like the right time to introduce something like this to the lake," said Skellett. "We're excited to expand Gary's to the water and offer an entirely new way for people to experience Sebago."

Opening weekend will feature a live performance from Maine country band 12/OC, who are set to take the stage to officially welcome this new experience to Sebago Lake.
